How Prompt Arcade works
Make a game from a prompt, play everyone’s entries, vote, and a winner is crowned every midnight Central Time.
What is Prompt Arcade?
An AI game maker with a daily game jam. You make a game from a prompt, the community plays it, and everyone votes. Each day’s winner is kept in the Hall of Fame.
How do I make a game from a prompt?
Open the game maker and describe your game in up to 500 characters: a character, a goal and simple controls work well. The AI builds a complete browser game in a minute or two. Playtest it, then save it or scrap it. Unsaved drafts are deleted after 24 hours.
What does it cost?
- New players get 3 free credits.
- Each game costs 1 credit, charged only when the build finishes. A failed build is free.
- Need more? A pack of 5 credits is $4.99 + tax, and pack credits never expire. The Daily Pass is $5.99/mo + tax for 1 credit a day; unused ones expire at midnight.
- Playing and voting are always free.
How does the daily vote work?
Every player gets 5 votes a day, one per game, and can’t vote for their own game. You need an account to vote, but anyone can play.
When is the winner picked?
Voting closes at midnight Central Time (America/Chicago). The game with the most votes wins, and a tie goes to the game entered first. The winner stays in the Hall of Fame, and a fresh round starts right away.
How many games can I enter?
Up to 5 games a day. Each game competes once, then goes back to your collection, which holds 10 games.
What are voting streaks?
Use all your votes 3 days in a row and you earn 1 bonus credit. If fewer games are in the round than you have votes, voting for all of them counts. An account can earn up to 3 bonus credits this way.
Is it safe to play games other people made?
Every game runs in a sandboxed frame with no network access, cookies or storage, so it can’t reach your account or the rest of the site.
Who can see my prompt?
Only you. Public pages show your game, its title and your player name, never the prompt.
